Tour Description

Okeanos Day Sail

The Okeanos Vanuatu, a sustainable and traditional vaka, powered by the elements, takes you on an ocean journey for the day.
Departing from Port-vila, we open the sails and start our voyage. On the way, we tell you more about the stories and legends of Vanuatu, the ancient art of Sand-Drawing, a few sailing techniques and short talks about ocean conservation. In the meanwhile, we make our way to the famous Survivor Beach, its azure waters and coral reef.
After this, the village of Mangaliliu awaits us for lunch, made from local ingredients, cooked by the mamas. The chiefs himself takes you on a digestive walk around the village and tells you more about its history. Mangaliliu also has a Giant Clam garden, part of a marine conservation programme, in which you are invited to swim.
Back on board, we head back to Port-vila, sipping on coconuts and kava, as the sky turns into a dazzling sunset.

At Okeanos, we’re all about discovering and protecting this environment. Culturally, and ecologically

Okeanos is available for private charter for one or multiple days. Email us for more information.
